Who We Are?

Shiny Stars is a community-centered nonprofit dedicated to nurturing young minds, strengthening families, and building meaningful connections across cultures and generations. Rooted in the values of education, community, culture, and faith, we create opportunities for youth and families to learn, serve, and grow together.

From local parks to neighborhood streets, we create opportunities for people of all ages to give back, learn leadership, and experience the joy of making a difference.

Community Food Drives

We organize community food drives to support local families and partner organizations. Volunteers collect, sort, and deliver groceries so no neighbor has to worry about their next meal.

Clothing Drives

Our clothing drives gather gently used clothes and shoes for children, teens, and adults. What starts as a closet clean‑out becomes warmth, dignity, and confidence for families in need.

Youth & Family Engagement

We design projects where kids, teens, parents, and grandparents can serve side by side. Youth learn leadership, empathy, and responsibility while seeing their efforts make a real impact.

Community Appreciation & Support

From appreciation lunches for local first responders and library staff to park cleanups and seasonal events, we create moments that say “thank you” and build pride in our community.

Celebrating All Cultures, Together

Our community is rich with different languages, traditions, and celebrations—and we see that as a strength. We design events where families can share their festivals, foods, and stories so we can learn from one another.

Whether it is a holiday meal, a cultural appreciation event, or a simple gathering at the park, we want every culture to shine and every family to feel that their traditions belong here.

Our Impact

Founded with the belief that small acts of service can create lasting impact, Shiny Stars focuses on bringing people together through inclusive programs, cultural celebrations, and hands-on volunteer experiences. Our initiatives are designed to help youth develop empathy, leadership, and a sense of civic responsibility while supporting the broader community around them.

A person dressed in a winter coat and hat sits on a city street, huddled over with a quilt draped over their knees. Next to them is an acoustic guitar lying on the ground, and a cardboard sign that reads 'THANK YOU 4 UR HELP & SUPPORTING THE HOMELESS' is propped up against a container. The setting suggests an urban environment with buildings lining the street.
